Monthly Doctor Visit - Week 30
Quick update....
Saw Dr. Mike today and everything looks great! I gained 2 pounds from last month and my belly is measuring at 30 centimeters. Right on target! Blood tests came back and I am anemic so will take additional iron supplement (Slow FE). This should help with the extreme tiredness I've felt the past few weeks. Heard the heartbeat and it's nice and healthy :) :)
Next appointment in 2 weeks Friday, 12/5 with Dr. Sarah.
That's all for now. Keep checking for updates and continue to write your comments. Brian and I love to read them all :P
PS - Baby furniture came in and being delivered on Saturday, 12/6. YEAH!!!

3D Images of Baby Fox :)

(DVD to follow)
Week 29, Baby Classes & Baby Fox's Room
How your baby's growing (from BabyCenter.com):
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His or her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his or her head is growing bigger to make room for his or her developing brain. To meet his or her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his or her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
**********************************************
Baby classes two and three were fun! We learned a lot, some topics we went over were newborn at birth, breast feeding, selecting a pediatrician, bathing your newborn, first physical exam, signs and symptoms of labor, what to do when it's time to go to the hospital, what to expect in labor and delivery and pain management - including epidural. Our final class is this Thursday.

Both my gestational glucose test and thyroid test came back normal. My iron levels were a little low so I'm trying to eat more green veggies. Still feeling great! :)

Ok, here's a closer look by the window.
We are heading to Home Depot in search of a new closet system.

Week 27 & First Baby Class
Week 27 (from BabyCenter.com & BabyFit.com):
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his or her legs extended. He or she is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his or her eyes, can suck his or her thumb now, which is actually a good thing! It helps calm him or her, while also helping to strengthen jaw muscles and encourage the suckling reflex. Your baby can even cry now, but you won't be able to hear him or her.
**Awwww, our little precious baby!**
First Baby Class:
Last night Brian and I went to our first of four Prenatally Yours childbirth classes held at St. Elizabeth College in Morristown. It was a wonderful experience and we had a lot of fun. The trainer, Ellen, is a Certified OB Nurse with tons of experience and knowledge with a great sense of humor as well. Class opened with a standard introduction where we all got to meet and introduce ourselves. There are 13 other couples in class with all the same questions and fears joined with the excitement and anticipation of a first child. In this first class we learned about common OB terms, 3rd trimester changes and expectations, common discomforts of pregnancy, prenatal exercises, relaxation and breathing techniques and most important...what is happening to Baby, Mommy and Daddy during and after pregnancy.
We also got to tour the Morristown Memorial Hospital which was very exciting! The labor and delivery section was recently renovated and is sooooo beautiful. All the rooms are private and have all you need to make your experience and stay as comfortable as can be. The newborn section was filled with tiny little babies some only hours old and all soooo cute to look at. Some of us from the class didn't want to leave and could have watched them all night. Brian and I left the class with great expectations, still some questions, but a feeling of great joy and we can't wait to meet our little one when he or she arrives! :)
More updates to follow. Sorry no pictures yet, maybe after this weekend.
HAVE A HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Monthly Doctor Visit - Week 26
I went for my monthly visit with Dr. Sarah and everything looks good! I gained 17 pounds so far, my belly measured at 26 cm (right on target) and baby Fox's heart rate is 140. Sooo, based on that information any guesses?! ;) My last monthly visit is with Dr. Mike on November 21st. Then, it's every two weeks!! I feel great, still teaching one or two times a week. Brian and I are also walking and hiking when we can.
More Fox Family updates to follow as well as more belly shots :) Have a wonderful weekend!!

4 Year Anniversary
Brain and I wanted to take a mini trip to celebrate our last anniversary, just us! Next year will be extra special with the whole family. . .we can't wait!! :)
We stayed in Wildwood again since we had so much fun last year. We just LOVE it there this time of year!!! We packed for the cold since that is what the weather called for. Well, when we got there it ended up being 80 degrees, HOT and HUMID!! It was so gorgeous we couldn't believe it. We changed our clothes at least 3 times until we were both comfortable and headed out to enjoy the day. I even had to buy flip flops because I didn't bring any thinking it would be so chilly. They were only $3 so not so bad. :)
Here are some pictures of that gorgeous day at the beach...

We shopped in Cape May every day and got a few new things for the house. We walked the boardwalk in Wildwood which was pretty much closed but a few stores still open. We went to the private home tours in Cape May, that was very impressive to see and finally made it to the Cape May Zoo :) We took a trolley tour to the Cape May Light House one night and along the way heard ghost stories of the nearby homes, very creepy but hit the spot for the season.

Apple Picking
Sunday started out rainy & cold but we decided to still head to Warwick, NY to go apple picking with the Sparta family. It ended up being a beautiful sunny day :)
The Sparta Family - Alexa, Jessi, Kenny & Claudia
Brian, Jessi and Alexa getting tons of apples for eating
Brian sampling every apple to make sure they tasted good
We need way more apples!
Later on in the day we met up with Nola, Kellie & Jason at the top of the apple orchard
Alexa & Nola having fun
Nola found the cookies Mommy made - she is soooo cute!!! :)
It was a great time!!
Thanks to the Sparta family for spending the day with us & thanks to the Andersen family for helping us find our way around the most beautiful apple picking spot!
Can't wait to do it again next year!
